Behind an 8" bowed off-white painted iron dial with black Roman numerals and minute ring. Also having blued steel spade hands and a cast, hinged brass locking bezel with bowed glass.

In a well figured mahogany case with chamfer top, brass pineapple with two acorn finials, gadrooned ebonised moulding to the top and bottom of the main body, canted front corners with brass strip inlay, recessed panelled front corners with cast brass framing, strip plinth and stood on four brass ball feet. The rear door is fully glazed and the sides having ring and plate handles above silked brass Gothic arch sound frets.

* This is a very pleasing example, the proportions are just right and the figured mahogany is a lovely colour that glows in artificial light. The case is an inch shorter than usual and is of slightly higher quality.
