Early 'English Dial' fusee wall clock for sale. Mahogany case, Bow dial and glass. C1850.

A handsome early English Dial wall clock.

The four pillar, eight day duration gut fusee movement with Anchor Recoil escapement, balluster pillars, shouldered plates and also, slightly offset winding.

Behind a 12" diameter, bowed, white painted iron dial. Having black Roman numerals, minute ring with triangular hour markings and matching steel 'Spade' hands. Also, a cast brass hinged
bezel with bow glass.

Contained in a dark mahogany case with a single piece narrow dial surround, pegged back-box, rounded bottom with a cockbeaded locking door and ivory keyhole surround. Also having a hinged access door to the right side.

*  This really is a handsome and quite early Dial clock, totally original with a nicely made fusee movement.

Dimensions:                         14 1/2" diameter x 6 1/2" deep including bowed glass.
