* This is a good looking clock. Lancet shaped examples are becoming more popular especially when ebonised and are no longer widely available. The movement and case are identical to the type made by Handley & Moore (George and John) of London (1802 - 1824). They were prolific makers and made clocks for other top grade Clockmakers, retailers and jewellers etc. They used very distinctive features such as their type of border engraving to backplates.
