Miniature vienna regulator wall timepiece in a serpentine walnut case. circa 1870.

An attractive little wall clock.

The eight day duration, weight driven movement with solid Dead-beat escapement and bayonet fixing to the bracket.

Behind a two-tiered, 3 3/4" diameter, white enamel dial. The chapter ring having black Roman numerals and minute ring. Also, brass bezels to the outer and inner dials and the sunken centre having a brass winding grommet. The matching blued steel hands are of tulip design. With a pendulum having an ebonised oval rod and large lenticular brass bob also, a brass cased driving weight.

Contained in a well proportioned and coloured, small 'Serpentine' style walnut case with original removable cresting. The door and sides being fully glazed. The well-formed base having an ornate turned finial.

* The picture is very misleading and the clock must be viewed to appreciate its small size and beauty. Despite its size, this is a very accurate little timepiece and would hang well in any room.

Condition:                                       Excellent with slight age damage to the dial.
